The STREAM project (Sustainable Technologies and Research for European Aquatic Management), funded by the European Commission under the FP7- Environment, is launching the first Summer School to be held in the week 26-30 September 2011 in Barcelona. The school is addressed to researchers from private/public research institutes, water experts from SMEs and industries operating in the water technologies field, policy makers.

During the intensive 5 days training in Barcelona, participants will have the possibility to meet and share experiences with high-level experts of water resource management, framework legislation, as well as technology and research innovation. The summer school will also provide a practical hands-on approach trying to stimulate further innovation and cooperation among researchers and SMEs.

The main objective of the STREAM project is to contribute to make the point on the state of the art of the research funded by the European Union to support the development of water technologies in order to face future challenges in the field of water issues. STREAM raises awareness on the finding of research projects through the organisation of various communication activities and will convey tailored information to specific categories of stakeholders.

The project is coordinated by Minerva Consulting and Communication (BE) and participated by European Water Partnership (EWP), Menon Network and Europe for Business (EFB), specifically for the organisation of the Summer School.

The summer school is organised in collaboration with: Competitiveness for Catalonia (ACC1Ò), Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), Centro Tecnológico de Manresa and Enterprise Europe Network (CTM) and Catalan Water Partnership (CWP).
